Died From Auto Crash Injuries Investigated In Topeka
Topeka reports Mrs. Jean Elizabeth Crawford 25 formerly of Topeka Kansas City Co died in Stormont hospital after an auto crash. Three War Workers Die From Chemical Exposure
White Plains health officials report three war workers died and 11 others were stricken by a degenerative liver disease and 500 suffered skin disease from chemicals used in treating cable lines at two Hudson river plants in Hastings and Yonkers. The health commissioner notes the disease stems from a toxic chemical compound and that two companies are testing all exposed employees to find additional cases.
