From Topeka Kansas December 36 Associated Press Roger Williams of Lawrence a Democratic member of the state board of administration in the presence of Governor Davis denied rumors that he plans to resign. He said he has no intention of resigning unless fired, and the governor has not decided on firing him. Wood Tamberison Republican board member whose resignation was demanded did not return to Topeka. Governor Davis indicated no resignation has been received and emphasized the need for a board member. The governor is expected to announce a new member to replace W P Lamberston whose resignation has been demanded.

Appointment of Robert Rutherford as deputy

Social Service Clothing Drive Reaches City Hall Stores
An abundance of garments left over after Christmas distribution was collected by Mids Minnie Scott city health nurse and Mrs T H Kenney county poor commissioner for use at social service headquarters. Clothing stored at city hall was moved to the social service hall with Needy Mexican and Negro families aided through Mrs Kennedy. Clark Mills a high school student was charged with forging and passing a ten dollar check on Watkins National Bank. A fire at the home of Mix Alice B Myers at 1637 New Hampshire was stopped by the fire department at 7 31 last night preventing damage. Earlier, at 1068 Ohio Street, a rubbish fire in a basement was extinguished by the department at 12 20 this morning with no loss reported. Notices urge milk consumers to insist on unfrozen milk for infants and small children while a nose and ear clinic is planned for tomorrow at city hall. An earth shock was felt in Vera Cruz at 34 oclock last evening.
