Witnesses accuse police of executing man in Atlanta shootout
Three witnesses from a fourth story window charged police with executing Jerry Jackson as he crawled away on a sidewalk after a December 7 shootout at Moto Cycles. They said officers and a plainclothes officer fired when Jackson lay on the ground and that the official account misrepresented events. The incident began when officers, believing a robbery, burst into the shop and exchange of gunfire occurred. Two others were wounded, including an officer.
