The family details a nomadic life with GM assignments and a final Lawrence retirement. She volunteered widely in church Blood Center League of Women Voters PTA museums and community clubs. Survived by her husband three children and grandchildren the service is set for December 30 2010 at First Presbyterian Church of Lawrence. He was born January 27 1913 in Buffalo New York the son of Jack Robert Maison Sr. He worked for E I DuPont as a chemist for 45 years and helped develop the Tecumseh plant before retiring. He married Arleen W Rachow who died July 1999. Survivors include a son Jack R Maison of Ventura California a daughter Susan Romero and husband Rick of Lawrence five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Brownback taps Caleb Stegall as new chief counsel
Gov elect Sam Brownback on Monday chose Jefferson County Attorney Caleb Stegall as his chief counsel. Stegall, a conservative lawyer, has represented former Attorney General Phill Kline in abortion investigation cases and will resign Jan. 10 to join the governor's office. Suspect arrested in copper wire theft near Hamm Quarry
