Orlando defeated Detroit 104 to 99 while New Jersey routed Boston 117 to 81 and Sacramento won 105 to 99 against the L A Lakers. The results reflect a night of diverse Eastern and Western conference action with strong performances from key players.

Peja Stojakovic added 26 points, Mike Bibby 14, Bobby Jackson 11 as the Kings improve to 23-8. the Lakers drop to 11-19. Shaquille O Neal had 27 points and 17 rebounds but made just 8 of 19 shots. Kobe Bryant also 27 with 15 boards and six assists. The Kings outrebounded 61-42 and shot 46.3 percent to Los Angeles 36.7.
