Aged Persons Die in Hartford Hospital Fire

Founder of Bird Library Is Dead
Ralph Ellis, owner of North America’s foremost ornithological library, died at Colusa California around December 17. His body was found in a hotel room. Ellis left Lawrence November 10 to hunt in the western states and his wife spoke with him by telephone on December 16. He had placed his library at the University of Kansas last spring and will be cremated with services December 26 in Berkeley at his mother’s home.
