Trumpet Ensemble to Visit China on Global Tour
KU Trumpet Ensemble plans nine concerts in four Chinese cities including a televised New Year’s Eve show with the China National Military Symphony Orchestra and a joint concert with students at the China Central Conservatory in Beijing. The trip, following 2005 and 2006 Wind Ensemble tours, features both traditional fanfares and cross cultural pieces, plus Chinese tunes and American jazz styles. Scott Watson and Scott Weiss accompany the ensemble along with KU trumpeters excited to perform and learn from Chinese audiences and peers.
