Writing centers shape holiday giving at Wakarusa Valley
Kris Hase, a kindergarten teacher at Wakarusa Valley School, notes children learn by drawing and dictating messages for gifts. Some write one or two words while others attempt more, as teachers fill missing sounds and encourage correct spelling.
