Wichita Kansas December 24 AP Lawrence Elliott airways extension supervisor for the department of commerce announced a survey will begin January 1 for the Wichita Dodge City lighted airway. The survey will last about a month with two more months for construction of 2,500,000 candlepower aerial beacons at ten mile intervals along the 140 mile route. Contracts for the beacons will be bid. The Wichita Dodge City Airway is part of the government air mail construction project along the trans continental airway. Emergency landing fields will be built at survey chosen sites.
