Douglas County Reports 6018 COVID-19 Cases With 21 Inpatients
Douglas County health officials show 6018 total cases as of Tuesday with 826 active. The 14 day moving average sits around 40.57 daily cases, down from a high in November and up from October. Twenty one inpatients at Lawrence hospital Tuesday include 16 active and five recovering. 31 residents have died.

Lawrence to launch special victims unit with trauma informed approach
The Lawrence Police Department will form a Special Victims Unit including a sergeant three detectives two juvenile investigators and a crime analyst all trained in trauma informed methods.
