KU surplus program donates 10000th item to nonprofits
At Kansas University West Campus a 3500 square foot surplus warehouse holds donated office furniture and equipment. The program, run by Sam Pepple, collects items free of charge from campus departments and redistributes them to nonprofits. This week the 10000th item went to Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Lawrence, including file cabinets chairs desks and frames.
