Accident kills one injures three near downtown City Missouri
A two truck collision near downtown City Missouri left one dead and three injured. John Sewell 62 of Lee's Summit was among the injured taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital where he was listed in fair condition. A passenger in the other vehicle Jeff Noll 40 of Valley Falls was unharmed. The accident remains under investigation. A family member said Collins would likely be at work. This is the second fatal wreck in Lawrence this year. The previous death occurred November 25 at 19th and Massachusetts streets. Doug Billings LMH nuclear technologist noted the materials transported were used for medical imaging and not headed for the hospital. The materials are low energy and carried in syringes encased in lead shrouds.
