Don Clement, 62, a hearing aid repairman by day, dresses as Santa Claus for family, church and neighbors. This year he turned it into a second career after a classified ad offering “Santa for Rent.” He fields calls, plans more visits and performs for both children and adults, handing out candy canes and posing for photos as parents sometimes gift him items to pass along. Mine explosion kills American in Bardera scouting mission
An American Army employee died and three American civilians were wounded by an anti tank mine near Bardera Somalia during a reconnaissance for a Christmas Eve push. Americans spend more as pay rises in November
Government data show durable goods orders fell 1.9 percent in November led by a drop in aircraft sales, but personal incomes rose 0.2 percent to 5.15 trillion dollars.
