Morrison affair stirs Kansas politics as Parkinson defends friendship
Lt. Gov. Mark Parkinson says he learned of Paul Morrison’s affair only shortly before it became public. Parkinson, once Morrison’s attorney and ally, defends his friendship and rejects using infidelity for political gain. The case centers on Morrison’s 2006 attorney general run and a 1990 harassment allegation linked to Linda Carter. Carter’s signed statements and Kline’s probe are part of the broader dispute over moral and legal fallout in Kansas politics.
