C K Swartzendraber alias Frank Howard alias C F B Simpson, missing cashier of Riverdale State Bank Kansas, admitted to authorities he fled to avoid bank losses. He said he took 800 dollars and that a 2509 dollar shortage was found in the bank’s records. He was arrested after trying to wash two American Express travelers’ checks. He had worked as a corn shucker near Prairie Hill after leaving Riverdale in September. President Coolidge and Mrs Coolidge returned from a Potomac cruise.
