J Wesley St Clair of Overland Park heads the state examining committee to study a proposed fourth bank in Lawrence. No hearing date has been set. February is likely. A local group including Rusty Springer and others filed for a state charter after a failed 1965 attempt. The 1965 hearing led to a denial due to adequate facilities and no need for a fourth bank.
