Lishers seek county land transfer after deed review
Raeburn and Jill Lisher discovered a small 254 by 16 foot parcel along Lone Star in southern Douglas County actually owned by the county. They told commissioners to turn the land over while county officials said an easement for another property owner would remain. The issue arose as the land had been taxed with the rest of their property, though the annual tax was about 15 dollars. The commission planned a resolution to transfer ownership and would also review subdivision rules Horizon 2020 updates and the county budget before tonight’s meeting at 6:35 p.m. in the Douglas County Courthouse.
