Christmas Eve Soul Shakedown Returns to Lawrence
Bass player Dave Shelton revived holiday soul with the first annual Christmas Eve Soul Shakedown after returning to Lawrence from New York. He teamed with Gina Lorenz and Hugh Naughtin to form James Lipton Funk Experience alumni band members and Lawrence locals for a three hour set of classic and obscure funk and soul at the Eighth Street Taproom, drawing townies and former party fans back into a lively holiday homecoming.
