Ridgway pleads innocent in Green River killings case

Gary Ridgway and his attorney appeared in King County Superior Court and Ridgway pleaded not guilty to four counts related to the Green River serial killings that left at least 49 women dead. He is jailed without bail as a Jan. 2 hearing approaches.

Study finds half of HIV patients carry drug resistant virus

A national study shows about half of the 1999 HIV patient group under physician care had viruses resistant to at least one of 15 AIDS medicines. Researchers report two thirds had measurable virus levels, and three quarters of those with detectable virus were resistant to at least one drug.
