The marker will be placed on the roof of the Green Brothers hardware store in the 60 block of Massachusetts street with cooperation from Green Brothers and W. H. Wells. Ray A. Theis, an airport peer with Slotor company of El Dorado, who lives in Lawrence, will inspect the airport area and survey airports here. He expects to fly a Spartan ring cylinder biplane around the city before leaving this morning. Theis, a 1923 KU graduate, previously flew in Lawrence during his university days and impressed locals with his flying skills.
