Rare early printing treasures found in Armstrong College
Newcastle reports a curator unearthed rare world books hidden in old estates near the tomb of Oliver Cromwell. Manuscripts include a 14th century Saints Lives and a 1468 Bodini edition of the Iliad with illustrations, plus other incunabula and a vellum Book of fours once owned by Mary Queen of Scots. The find signals strong historical value for the Armstrong College Art School.
