Great Loans to Aid Agriculture and Housing Declared

New York reports at the Eighteenth Annual Convention of the Association of Life Insurance Presidents show life insurance companies will add about half a billion dollars to real estate mortgage loans this year. Total city property mortgages may reach $4,000,000,000 by year end, with farm loans rising since 1917 and totaling nearly $1.78 billion by September 30, 1924.

Excelsior area residents keep busy with visits and events

A flurry of Baldwin and Ottawa excursions fills Tuesday to Friday as residents visit relatives, attend anniversaries, and stop by homes. Notable stops include L W Haas and family, Charley Gilliland, Dan Johanning, and the Flory clan. The Excelsior school held a program and plate supper drawing a large crowd and about 30 dollars.
