Topeka Tax Committees Meet on Possible Special Session
Governor Clyde M Reed convened house and senate committees in Topeka to review the tax code commission findings and consider a possible special session on tax revision. He urged independent judgment and invited both tax bodies to assess the report before deciding on extraordinary action. A separate note says the Nye resolution to unseat Senator Grundy of Pennsylvania was deferred until after Christmas due to a lack of a quorum. A prowler call at Eleventh and Vermont was reported to police.
