Lawsuits hit Midland Railway over nearly 1 million in claims
Baldwin City filed a 321,059 loan recovery suit against Midland Railway and its for profit affiliates Baldwin City and Southern Railroad and Leavenworth Lawrence and Galveston Railroad after grant funds were misused. Rail Events Inc. filed three Colorado suits seeking 660,000 plus interest for unpaid royalties tied to Polar Express and Peanuts rides.
