Blind ex student sues KU after campus fall

Hugo Pelaez, a Colombian native and blind former KU graduate student, sues Kansas University in Wyandotte County District Court over injuries from falling into an uncovered 3 foot deep drainage hole near Jayhawker Towers in October 1998. The suit seeks education costs, medical expenses, pain and suffering beyond KU's offered $25,000 settlement.
