Deadlock on Verizon Tower Plan in Douglas County
Planning commissioners split 4-4 over a proposed 150 foot Verizon Wireless tower at 1423 E 900 Road near Clinton Lake north of Lawrence. Three pending tower requests were pared down, with opponents arguing it would mar the lake entrance while proponents cite coverage needs. the vote sends the proposal to the Douglas County Commission with a denial recommendation.
