Fifty Seven Years In Lawrence Press History
I arrived in Lawrence fifty seven years ago to engage in the newspaper business with my associates and family. We launched The Lawrence World on March 1, 1892 seeking fair treatment for all citizens and cooperation from the public. In July 1921 The World Company acquired the last competing Lawrence paper, shaping a two way ad reader relation and growth for Lawrence and the Kansas journalism scene.

Also reports show Kansas potato production down in 1943 due to a 30 percent drop in support price.
