Miles Adams given probation for aggravated battery
Miles Adams, 46, appeared in Douglas County District Court with attorney Gary West for sentencing after a no contest plea to aggravated battery. Judge Amy Hanley granted three years of probation instead of prison, following joint recommendations by the defense and prosecution and statements from the victim. The case stemmed from a severe beating of Adams' roommate, which caused facial fractures. The victim sought the maximum 38 months in prison.
