Queen case review could uphold trial delay ruling
Kansas Supreme Court agreed on Oct 19 to review Danny W. Queen's case after the appellate court found issues with his speedy trial rights. If upheld, Queen could not be retried. his earliest release is projected June 27, 2033, and he remains in Norton Correctional Facility. The 2018 jury convicted him of second degree murder for fatally shooting Bo Hopson, a security guard, after a bar incident.
