Accident at Plant Claims Carpenters Scaffolding Fall
Joseph Dittoe, 60, a Winn-Senter carpenter at Sunflower Ordnance Works, slipped from a scaffold Monday afternoon. He suffered contusions to his left shoulder and back. X rays showed no fractures. Rescue trains search snowbound eastern drift line
Charleston W Va December 13 two relief trains were sent from here to locate a lost Grafton bound passenger train buried in snow about 45 miles east. A prior rescue attempt near Elkhurst stalled 10 miles short. The B&O line died for water after failing to push through the drifts.
