Will Dismiss Six Prison Employes At Lansing
Topeka Kan Dec 18 Six state penitentiary employes will be dismissed after a State Board of Administration inquiry into prison conditions at Lansing. The names will be released with a formal order. The county fair committee of the Chamber of Commerce will hold a public hearing tomorrow at 10 o clock at the Chamber of Commerce building to record public views on whether a fair should be held next fall. An open forum was recently held and those who missed it are urged to attend and share ideas. The committee will meet at the Elks club for luncheon tomorrow noon and, in the afternoon, continue questioning business leaders and farmers about the fair and its outcome. The aim is to present the general public opinion to the Douglas county fair board when it meets next Tuesday at 2 o clock at the Chamber of Commerce building.
