PHOTO PRISER In Focus. Distance settings for sharp pictures
Sharp pictures rely on proper distance settings. Box-type and fixed focus cameras require no adjustment but must stay at least six feet from the subject. Ground glass and reflex cameras should be focused with the lens wide open for clarity, then stopped down. Focusing becomes more critical at closer distances. If no range finder is available, practice estimating six feet and check accuracy with two subjects before the camera.
