Sauer-Danfoss to buy Thrige Electric low-voltage motor unit
Sauer-Danfoss Inc. said it will acquire Thrige Electric’s low-voltage motor business to diversify into alternate power sources. The deal, expected to close next year, involves Thrige in Odense Denmark and Schabmuller in Berching Germany. Thrige employs about 450 people with annual sales around $50 million. Shares in Sauer-Danfoss fell 15 cents to $7.85 on the NYSE.
