In Baltimore Maryland on December 10 the bodies of crew members Fl wood Murray and a man named Patterson were recovered after the 98 ton power boat A Woodall burned to the water line Tuesday in upper Chesapeake Bay. The loss of the remaining three crew members is now considered likely. The vessel owned by Marine Transport Corporation was en route from Baltimore to Philadelphia with gasoline and alcohol when the disaster occurred. Murray's body was found in the single life boat and Patterson, with a life preserver, washed ashore. Despite air planes, a customs cutter and smaller craft no further traces were found.
