Weaver's store survives a century and a half in Lawrence
Weaver's president Joe Flannery notes the 156 year old downtown Kansas store's ongoing relevance through its focus on people products and prices. The Lawrence retailer competes with JCPenney Kohl's and online shops yet maintains full service delivery and gift wrapping. The store on Massachusetts Street traces to 1857 and remains a landmark with historic features like pneumatic tubes.
