Society notes announce the engagement of Helen Wade to Frisby Smith Lock and a Riverside family’s upcoming marriage plans. Mrs Rumsey hosts a children’s party for Dick and Ann with cake and favors. Various clubs hold recitals, luncheons, and meetings at Liberty Memorial high school and other local venues.
Members of the M. P. M. club plan a Christmas luncheon at the Colonial Tea room Monday at 1 o'clock. Channing circle Unitarians will host a covered dish luncheon at 12 15 at Mrs H C Tracy 801 Indiana street. Mrs H Lee Jones reviews two books I Like America and Hope in America. Standard Life association officers and employees hold a Christmas party December 20 at Colonial Tea room with 1 15 luncheon and toy gifts. Ray Wright hosts dinner bridge at Evans Hearth tomorrow evening followed by cards.
Mrs. C W Maloney entertained the Bridgettes at her home yesterday with a luncheon and an afternoon of cards.
Mr and Mrs H Lee Jones host as guests J B McNair of Broadhead Wisconsin and David Jones of Los Molinas California then plan departures tomorrow. R G Stillinger of Houston returns after two weeks with Mrs Stillinger's parents Michael family. Funeral attendees include C C Crew Houston Miss Mary Doty Bess Doty Detroit Anna Grace Doty Chicago Hiram Doty Oklahoma City and Oscar Erickson Kansas City. Mrs C T Royston returns from St Louis after Thanksgiving visit with daughter F L Callicotte. Arch West of Chicago to visit December 23 for weekend then depart Christmas night. Mrs H E Aynerson returns from Topeka after Kansas Federation of Women’s Clubs meeting. Mrs C E Friend attends Kansas Women’s Republican district meeting in Junction City. Muscles of the lobster are inside a skeleton which is outside its y.
