Oread residents press exception to curb zoning for HERE project
Kyle Thompson of the Oread Residents Association urged the city to use an allowed exception to the zoning code for the HERE luxury apartment complex. The $75 million project has 624 bedrooms and 13500 square feet of commercial space, with 75 additional bedrooms to be leased after a failed high tech parking system delayed completion. The issue sparked debate over future density and neighborhood protections as the City Commission prepares a final decision after delaying action.
