Privileged Des Moines River Land Bill Passes House

A special order set for Thursday Saturday and Tuesday to vote at four o clock on the latter day. Mr Payson from the committee on public lands reported as privileged matter the bill to quiet the title of settlers on the Des Moines river lands in Town. Mr Rowell objected the report as not privileged. A similar objection was raised last session and sustained by Mr Cox of New York. Speaker Carlisle ruled the report privileged and Mr Payson urged the bill, which was passed before the house adjourned.
