Wonka Comes Alive at Theatre Lawrence in Charl ie and the Chocolate Factory
James Diemer and Theatre Lawrence crew build the Wonka world for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The show demands complex effects and precise sightlines in a three sided theater space. Director Jessica Franz Martin emphasizes originality over imitation as Diemer designs rotating rigs and life like candy effects while KU theater work informs his craft. The production runs through December 22 at 4660 Bauer Farm Drive with tickets at 785-843-SHOW or theatrelawrence.com.
