Shrek Star Knute Pittenger Finds Layers In Life On Stage And Work
Knute Pittenger, a Water Department worker with 24 years on the job, is praised as a blue collar actor type who channels Donkey in a Scottish voice. He balances city utility duties with a love for Rodgers and Hammerstein, meeting many people during meter readings and office stops. He notes the city’s turnover from KU graduations and enjoys greeting staff during his rounds.
