Williamstown man Lee Brannock 68 dies at home
Lee Brannock, 68, a Williamstown resident for 19 years and former Union Pacific Railroad foreman, died Monday night at his home. Born February 6, 1893 in De Soto, he leaves a wife Mina, two daughters Helen Kraus and Dorothy Lynn, a son Ronald, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Dr. T. Marshall Hahn, dean of arts and sciences at Kansas State University, will become president of Virginia Polytechnic Institute when Dr. Walter S. Newman retires June 30. Newman, 66, has led VPI since 1947 and cited health reasons. Hahn, 35, is a former VPI physics professor who moved to Kansas State in 1959.

Chance Dims for Special Bowl Train from Kansas
