The Botanical club met in Prof. Steven's room to discuss Cordaites literature led by E H Sellacds. A large crowd heard New York sculptor F E Elwell address the audience and a bust of Louisa M Alcott to be presented Friday morning. Paris festival plans for Dec 01 herald the dawn of the new century with a masked ball concept. Projections estimate 350 to 400 million in America by 2000, and Nicaragua and Mexico may seek Union admission after the canal's completion as Europe and South American nations look to join.
