John W. Price, 57, died yesterday afternoon at his home on 435 Michigan Street. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at noon at Stall. Interment will follow in Mound Cemetery.

In Nueco Arizona on December 4 sniper fire from Mexican combatants across the line killed Antonio Bracemonte a teamster working in front of U S soil. Private John Miller of the 10th Cavalry was wounded in the thigh. Miller becomes the fourteenth U S soldier hit by Mexican bullets.
In New York December, pleas in abatement by William Rockefeller and seven others among 21 directors and former directors of the New Haven Railroad were dismissed. Indictments charging violation of the anti trust law proceed with pleas of not guilty entered.
Jefferson City December 4 Drinking is going out of fashion among Missouri's men of affairs. The past week saw hotels crowded with executives lawyers and politicians visiting for utility commission hearings railroad rates Supreme Court cases and legislative preps. The crowd included many notable figures though J Barley corn had few personal friends.

Lines surveyed with three route options, likely following the river to Linwood and possibly ending near Endora.
