An 1880s advertisement collage touts Pickens Mince Meat made by O D Pickens in Lawrence Kansas and promotes Dr Miles Restorative Nervine and The New Heart Cure sold by Geo Leis Drug Co. It cites testimonials from Dr Parker and others, extolling nerve and heart benefits, with claims of cures for nervous prostration dizziness and fatigue and warnings about stimulant foods.
First published November 13 1890 the sheriff announces a sale of thirty acres of growing wheat on the north half of the west sixty acres of section eleven in township thirteen range nineteen Douglas County Kansas. The sale is by execution issued from Douglas County District Court to satisfy an abstract judgment against Kitas Schneck. The auction will be held Monday November 2 1890 at 7 PM on the premises in Douglas County Kansas.

Jonruice Lornly named administrator seeks court approval of fees and expenses at the next Probate term in Douglas County Kansas on January 3 19. The administrator requests discharge after final settlement and accounting of the estate of Tun Engelsmann deceased.
