Second dog confirmed dead after kennel fire
Nancy Hause of Lawrence faced devastation when Christal K-9 kennel at 3115 W Sixth St burned, leaving her dogs Zebulon and Bentley missing. She had used the business for years and arrived after Thanksgiving to find the building gutted. About 19 other animals were evacuated to emergency veterinary care following the blaze reported by owner Cedric Devin.
