After a strong Midwest Open showing in Chicago last week Kansas Jayhawks head west to the Rocky Mountain Open in Denver. Coach Bob Lockwood brings a full squad hoping to equal or surpass last year’s third place as preliminaries start Friday and finals Saturday. Rich Schubert of Lawrence set a school record 9.45 on the side horse in preliminaries though he fell in the finals to finish eighth.
