Santa Claus arrives for Lawrence downtown Christmas lights
Santa visits Lawrence for the annual lighting ceremony meeting Mayor Sandy Praegar. Lee Greenfield, this year’s Santa, greets children and poses for photos while balancing work as a school bus driver and Kel-Craft sales rep. Some kids cry at the jolly stranger, others request gifts like a basketball and microscope. Greenfield notes his father once played Santa and this marks his first year with Downtown Lawrence Association.
