Oldest Kansas voter is Fort Dodge centenarian Mrs Christina Wear

The likely oldest voter in Kansas at the last election was Mrs Christina Wear of Fort Dodge, grandmother of Mrs Ralph Colman of Kanwaka. She celebrated her hundredth birthday on September 8, married before the Civil War, with one child born during the conflict. Her husband was a soldier and only learned of the birth four years later. All her children are now deceased. Mrs Wear walks erect, reads with glasses, but cannot write due to palsy. A reception at her home honored her birthday with about 100 guests and school children singing and presenting flowers. She was the mother of the late William D Wear, who lived with his daughter Mrs Colman.
