Washington August 31 CP Gil bert Harrison vice chairman of the American Veterans committee said Kilian sentence can only be interpreted as a whitewash of the horrors at the Lichfield replacement depot. Kilian fined 500 and reprimanded in a Ban NaU heim Germany after a conviction for cruelty to American prisoner soldiers at Lichfield camp England where he was former commander. Harrison called the sentence extremely mild and urged congressional investigation of the army court martial system.
