The 40 year old former teacher George J. Ranson was found dead in the Smoky Hill river in Junction City Kansas. He held degrees from Emporia College and the University of Kansas and taught at Highland Junior College Michigan State Colorado College. Survivors include his parents a sister and a brother. Funeral services are planned for 2 pm tomorrow. Ranson earned his MA from KU in 1929.
